Dérive et Safran
2020
The "Dérive et Safran" project is a range of stands or table organisers to be assembled without tools. Random forms emerge from the resources used which are in fact wood chips (solid wood or MDF). Each piece, which is used to make up the object, is designed to be interchangeable, creating a multitude of possible combinations, with as many layouts for the everyday objects. As a result, the user becomes a player in the project, selecting the combination of pieces that will make up the set design. The assembly of wooden pieces refers to the steering elements of a sailboat, which give it its name: the “Dérive" (centreboard) and the "Safran" (rudder blade).
